This walk starts on the moorland road that runs from Emsay to Barden Bridge and follows good tracks to the delightful hamlet of Draughton and on to Bolton Priory. The return is via restored ancient fish-ponds, a delightful wood and open moorland.

I plotted this route on my OS mapping GPS. It was closer to 10 miles not 7.5! Also the last 1.5 miles are on bog churned up by horses and cattle not “good track”.
