Explore the 'Scottish Riviera' resorts of Rockcliffe and Kippford and enjoy splendid views with easy walking throughout on good firm tracks and paths through Dalbeattie Forest. The walk has a lovely open feeling of spaciousness, in common with most walks in 'Glorious Galloway'! The walk could begin from any of the villages en route. It might also start from Dalbeattie town centre, though this would add a good two miles to the total distance.
