Spectacular views south towards Roseberry Topping and the North York Moors National Park. Equally spectacular (albeit industrial) views north over Teesside.

One climb, then a lovely stroll along the top of the Eston Hills. This circular walk leads you from Flatts Lane Country Park up onto the escarpment towards Eston Nab.

Flatts Lane Country Park has been developed on the site of the old Normanby Brickworks - look carefully and you may find bricks scattered amongst the undergrowth.

Eston Nab was an Iron Age hill-fort with distinctive bank and ditch. During Napoleonic times a lookout tower was constructed which remained until the 1960s, when a smaller beacon was built to mark the site.

More information on the Normanby Brickworks and Eston Nab can be found in the visitors' centre at the start of the walk.
