A short stroll around the woods, mostly on good tracks with one section on a woodland path. Although a plantation there is plenty of variety, with an abundance of flowers by the way.
The walk passes the remains of a motte and bailey castle. If this ever had stone walls they have long since been robbed, but the earth ramparts are impressive and there is a good view from the top.
As the route is almost a figure of eight it can very easily be shortened to around half, with a choice of which section you do.
