Bratton Camp - The White Horse - Imber Range Path

From the car park, walk almost to the tail of the White Horse, then turn left to walk south-westwards along the edge of the steep escarpment. On meeting the road walk downhill, to turn left at a bridleway by the White Horse Equestrian Centre. Follow this track through, past the Wellhead Water Treatment building and then on for a further 600 metres, before turning left and uphill to the Imber Range Perimeter Path. Turn left along the I RP Path to pass the deep chalk quarry on your right. Follow the I R P Path around the chalkpit and to the by- way path junction at the top of Combe Hill. Turn left here to wend your way down to the road, then turn left to follow the road uphill to the first rampart of the hill-fort on the right. Turn right and walk around the north side of the earthwork and on further to the White Horse, below on the right.

Unfortunately at waymark 10 you are no longer able to turn right by the quarry entrance as it is now fenced off as part of the military firing range. This means the walk is shortened as you return to the car park but still an enjoyable couple of hours hike with spectacular views.
