Starting at the Weavers Way car park in Briggate, the route follows a section of the long-distance path through the avenue of trees to Bengate. Along this section of the path there are lovely views to a nearby mill which used to be linked with the waterway in Briggate. The route continues to follow Weavers Way to Meeting Hill, where it crosses fields to arrive at Ebridge Mill. Here there is a disused lock, a very rare feature around the Norfolk Broads and part of the North Walsham & Dilham Canal network.

The return journey follows quiet country lanes and footpaths and passes (according to the OS map) the remains of a cross. Unfortunately I was unable to locate the cross on my walk, but do keep an eye out when you are nearby!
