Chipping: The Creamy Lancashire Cheese Walk

This is a very flat walk to the south of Chipping through pleasant sheep pastures. There are fewer stiles than is usual in the Ribble Valley and the route is well-signposted, with good views of the nearby southern fells of Bowland. The eccentric title is because this is a walk sponsored by the Leagram Organic Dairy. This can be visited but, unfortunately, not at weekends. The walk will be a litle shorter if you do not go to the dairy. It also goes past the entrance to the Gibbon Bridge Hotel, a rather classy establishment and I'm not sure how they'd react to walking-gear. In their favour they have a well-signposted public footpath going right past the main entrance and they have never tried for a diversion.
