Starting at Claydon, the most northern village of Oxfordshire, the route ventures into two Northamptonshire villages, the Upper and Lower Boddingtons. All three villages are very pretty, rural settlements, with charming dwellings of weathered stone or brick, some of them thatched. The quiet lanes and single-track roads lead through the heart of fabulous countryside, often with splendid views across rolling landscape. The beauty of nature is ever-present and a joy to encounter on this little meander into perfect peace and tranquillity.
