The walk includes a country park of an estate, one of the twee villages which must appear in costume dramas, an abbey, a court, country lanes, fields, a stream, ponies, lambs (well, in spring) - all the classic ingredients of the English countryside.

Please note:

you cross two busy roads and an unguarded railway line on this walk.

Don't think I've ever done a walk with so many stiles but a pleasant walk it was . It can get very boggy at time particularly on the home straight from Lacock to Corsham. Directions are all pretty good but at point 5 make sure you follow the left hand wall (next to the Farm ) as if you follow the right hand side you are in danger of being directed into the wrong field.

Very pleasant easy walk as barely any climbs! The most interesting point was Lacock village halfway through the walk. Also Corsham Park at the start and finish is a fine Country Park. Instructions very good (we went wrong at one point - our fault - did not read properly). Point 12 - this field very boggy -can be avoided if you spot it first !!

We did this walk in June; in the summer parts of the walk are overgrown but do not let this deter you; it is a beautiful walk offering stunning views. Dog owners: there are many stiles on this walk, most of which are not passable by dogs so you would have to carry them over.
