Crickhowell - The Wern - Table Mountain - Beacons Way - Cwm Cumbeth - Crickhowell

Table Mountain stands proud at the back of Crickhowell. This walk starts from the car park behind the Tourist Information Centre and uses minor roads to leave the village. Soon the route continues across fields, up old tracks and then across open hillside. The views are excellent and encourage the walker to stop and stare. Once on the flat top of the mountain the views are far-reaching. Coming down, the route follows old tracks and the bed of a stream before a lovely walk down through Cwm Cumbeth. There are many pubs to be found in Crickhowell to finish off the day.

Did this walk today and it was brilliant! Quite a scramble at the top, but there is an easier way that skirts the summit to the right which is quite visible as you approach. I liked the variety that this walk offers, from quite a demanding climb through to green fields and wooded walkways.
