Whatever your interests, this walk has something to offer! The heathland property of the NT has varied delights depending on the season. Birds and other wildlife are in abundance and the views are often stupendous. You pass twice through the formerly important settlement of Dunwich. Here the village which remains has interesting relics of former times and there is a museum well worth a visit. Much of the original settlement is now beneath the sea, but the remains of a friary and the ancient church are passed on the walk. You can also eat a fish and chip meal on the edge of the beach where the boats are drawn up to offload the catch right by the kitchen door!

A circuit of the marshland and shingle bank much frequented by birdwatchers brings you back towards your start point, but the final pleasure is the stroll along the clifftop and through woodland. There are facilities for the disabled at the car park as well as a cafe-restaurant and the possibility of guided tours or other activities.
