A delightful short walk along the River Eden from the Shepherd's Inn at Langwathby. The walk can be combined with a visit to Eden Ostrich World, so it's ideal for a family visit (the pub welcomes children too).
The very first section is by the main road but it is short and all on pavement. Then it's just over a mile along the river, with some in a narrow strip of woodland.
Return is through the village of Edenhall and across fields.
