I chose to use public transport to do this walk, starting from James Street Station and dropping down to the waterfront. From here the walk passes the museum area, including the Tate Gallery, around the Albert Dock, before using the riverside walkway to go south. At Otterspool the journey back is started and by making use of the parks, the amount of road-walking is kept to a minimum.

This walk still cannot be started from the Pier Head because of building works. Sefton Park has now been restored and I will submit new photographs when I am able. Jim Grindle.
