This may only be a short walk but it is utterly breathtaking, with some of the most beautiful scenery in all of Lakeland.
The route starts off at a small car park near Tarn Foot Farm and follows a trackway around the nearby campsite to a spectacular viewpoint overlooking Loughrigg Tarn. The tarn is absolutely stunning and a place you can just sit and take in the true feel of the Lake District for hours on end.
The route heads around the tarn along a public footpath for changing views of the lake surrounded by beautiful fellside. Once the path joins the road it's a simple walk back along a quiet country lane to the car park. The walk may only take an hour but the memories of its beauty will stay for a lifetime.
