The Monnow Valley Walk starts in Monmouth and follows the River Monnow to its source high in the Black Mountains. We take the first part of this walk as our outward route. From there we head across fields behind Monmouth to reach Offa's Dyke Path and follow it back to Monmouth. The town is well worth exploring, so try to allow time for this.
