North from Burton Overy to Scotland and Beyond

This walk isn't quite as long as you might think from the title. Scotland is a small hamlet adjacent to the lovely Leicestershire village of Burton Overy. This walk takes you through both village and hamlet across the verdant (but sometimes muddy) fields nearby to join an ancient Roman road that once linked Leicester with Colchester. Walk along the road and return via the fields to Scotland. Leicestershire to Scotland and back in less than five miles, terrific.
