There are outstanding views of Snowdonia on this walk, which crosses the northernmost parts of the Clwydian Range from the village of Rhuallt to the Wheeler Gap at Bodfari. There are no sustained climbs, but a number of ups and downs which add up to quite a lot of height gain.

3rd March 2012 - Have driven past Rhuallt so many times on the A55, without realising that it is in the middle of the most beautiful moorland. A lovely walk, with wonderful views of Snowdonia, the Wirral, and Liverpool. It's very undulating, and we found the steep drop and corresponding steep climb between waypoints 24 & 28 very challenging. For anyone relying on a halfway refreshment point, The Forge Stores are sadly closed and boarded up. The Downing Arms over the road remains open however.

A really fine sunny autumn day in October 2011. It took six and a half hours to complete this walk as we had to stop so many times to admire the outstanding views and of course take many photographs. The climbs are not too difficult and the walk details are excellent and easy to follow.
