A circular walk on the South Downs, a very peaceful area of mixed farmland with very varied wildlife. There are super views both towards the coast and in the later stages, thirty or forty miles towards the North Downs.

This walk was originated by Martin O'Keeffe. Walkingworld is delighted to welcome Keith and Ing-Marie Beldam as the new contributors now taking care of Martin's walks from May 2014. Walkingworld would like to say a huge thank you to Martin for all his excellent contributions over the years.

15.03.09 - A bright warm sunny March Sunday and what fabulous views and wildlife. The field mentioned had just been ploughed and it was easier to follow the alternative. This is a well written walk with stunning views throughout and great underfoot conditions. Well worth it. 9/10.

Even in this cold Easter weather, we had a great walk, lovely views and tranquility! Thanks

1/11/2007-Ray Churcher. I decided to take up Martin's suggestion and combined this one with walk 4334; starting from The Dover car park.A total of just over 11 miles. This was probably the best walk I have done from the walkingworld selection to date. Absolutly brilliant. 10/10 and thank you. Ray Churcher.
