This walk, though short is very rewarding. Stout footwear is advisable, as parts of the Dyke are quite stony and the path in places may be wet after rain. The view over Tintern from The Pulpit is well-known and the Dyke here is very much in evidence.

Part of the Offa's Dyke path has been closed due to danger from erosion. The diversion is well signed and should not affect the directions. The route will come out lower but the directions read "left and up" and so will be OK.
