If there were any doubt, then you have to marvel at the Victorians and their ability to build a viewing point of two bridges over the River Severn a century before they were actually built. That's what you get with Eagle's Nest viewing point. The walk has spectacular views across the Wye Valley, Tintern Abbey, the local vineyard, Chepstow Racecourse, the Wye, the Severn and the two bridges, so well worth the effort in the right weather.
There is a bit of effort. The first third of the walk is uphill, the next third along the top and the last third back down again. You go along tracks and footpaths with brief spells on road. The good news is that Tintern certainly caters for walkers' tea and cake requirements.
