Gentle Rutland countryside, the small village of Lyndon and its Hall, Wing Maze and a pretty section along the lakeside of Rutland Water, all make this a pleasant walk, with the only negative a ten-minute walk along a road.

Wow what a wonderful walk, the views were breath-taking on such a lovely sunny day. The only down part was the walk alongside a fairly busy road into Edith Weston. Very easy route to follow. Would love to walk this again in the future. Helen Wakefield

Lovely walk, we made a short detour at Edith Weston for a pub lunch at The Wheatsheaf Inn, then enjoyed tea and home made cakes at Wing Village Hall served on Sundays 3-5:30. En route we met the "Lord and Lady" of Lynden Hall walking their dogs, who informed us that the cakes are made in 2 villages of Wing and Lynden and are well reknowned.
