This walk takes you along some of the best of the South West Coast Path. It's not for those who suffer badly with vertigo. You visit the beautiful Heddon Valley and climb up to Trentishoe before descending again into a wooded river valley, to visit the Hunters Inn before taking the high track back to Woody Bay.

In fine weather this must be one of the finest routes in EUROPE for sublime coastal scenery. Simply magnificent views at every turn. Even on the return route after leaving the coast its attractive all the way. New signposting provides reassurance that makes route finding easy. Just one clarification needed. At Waypoint 15 the signpost direction is now for Trentishoe Manor (NOT Mill) but you won't get lost.

Did this walk on 2/1/2009 and what a treat it is. Be prepared for some strenuous climbs (my GPS had the total height gain as 1220m, definitely not the 150m quoted) but be equally prepared to be rewarded by the fantastic coastal views. This is a 10 out of 10 walk in the right weather!
