Wisteria Cottage

Wisteria Cottage in the Chilterns is an extremely well appointed character cottage. It has just been awarded a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence 2017 and a "Visit SE England Highly Commended in the Beautiful South Awards 2017/2018".
Sleeping 3 adults in 2 bedrooms upstairs, there is a double bed and a single, plenty of custom built clothes storage and views of the garden. Downstairs there is a cosy sitting/dining room with a log burner, Wifi, SMART tv and comfy seating with wall and ceiling beams (do mind your head!). An open door way leads into the extremely well appointed kitchen with ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge with ice box, microwave and a small dishwasher. A very old narrow pine door leads to a rear lobby and downstairs contemporary bathroom with washer/dryer, 1500mm bath with shower over, wc, handbasin, heated towel rail, radiator, shaving point and mirrors. Gas central heating means this is an all year destination.
Outside there is a rear courtyard with secure cycle store, and an attractive front garden with patio, lawns and flower beds, a perfect relaxing space to return to after a walk. Listen to and watch the spectacular Red Kites as they soar overhead whilst enjoying a glass of wine.
Car parking is available for 2 cars.
A well behaved dog or maybe 2 small ones are welcome downstairs but please discuss this before booking.
The cottage is situated in beautiful countryside where there are a multitude of walks including many named paths like The Ridgeway, the Chiltern Way, The Thames Path and the South Oxfordshire Way. Walk from the door into the fields and woods, covered in bluebells in spring, and explore historic villages as seen in Midsomer Murders. There is even a Midsomer walking trail around Watlington, which is reputedly the smallest town in England, where there are many Medieval buildings and independent shops in the High Street. Don't forget to try out the local pubs all of which serve food too.
This is a real "home from home" in a very accessible part of the country but it feels like you are stepping back in time. The pace of life is relaxed and everyone speaks to each other. Come and see for yourself.
