Maghull Ramblers
Maghull Rambling Club, formed in 1976, is a friendly, informal organisation which aims to provide country walks for people who either wish to start a new pastime, or who are already experienced in hill and mountain walking. Current membership is in the region of 180. (Feb 2013)
As a walking club based near Liverpool we visit the countryside, hills and mountains of the Lake District, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Wales etc. and arrange local walks.
Walks take place at least once a fortnight alternating between car trips and coach trips. Coach trip walks consist of four walks of various categories: “easy”, “moderate”, “hard” and maybe “strenuous”. All walks are lead by experienced walk leaders. Various short breaks away are arranged throughout the year.
Social activities - We meet at 7.30 pm on the first TUESDAY of each month at the Maghull branch of the British Legion. Non-members interested in walking are welcome.
We would like to encourage more people (irrespective of age or experience) from Maghull and the surrounding area, to join our walking groups/become a member. We suggest that if you are interested you come with us on a couple of walks/outings before deciding to join the club.
