A pleasant cliff walk from the picturesque seaside village of Runswick, north along the cliff tops to Port Mulgrave. The walks then heads inland - to the pub - before returning to Runswick. A nice walk for children - although do take care near the cliff edge.

It is worth extending the walk by following the steep road down to the actual bay itself - perhaps for an icecream if its been a nice hot day!

Completed this walk on a lovely sunny September day. From Runswick Bay to Port Mulgrave, along the coastal path, it is excellent. The second half, back to Runswick, I found rather tedious and wish I had retraced my steps instead. Worth mentioning that as well as great views there is interesting signage at Port Mulgrave about its origins as an ironstone mining community.
