If you think of Land's End these days, you think of the theme park marked on the OS maps - not the most obvious way for a walker to choose. By starting from Sennen Cove though, you can get there without the hassle, although you will have to tolerate the crowds for a short time. Within twenty minutes of leaving the complex behind us, June and I were having a quiet picnic overlooking a beautiful bay; it was well worth it and Land's End is a must for all of us. The coastal path is stunning as always and the way through the fields well-signposted for a change, some of it by the farmers.

Walked 17.07.2009. A truly stunning walk. Park all day at the top car park (£3 all day) rather than the higher charges on the seafront. Perfect directions. Point 9 is pretty much as in the picture and there is no sign of the digging or 2nd wider path at point 22. It's worth exploring the beach at point 11 as there is a deep cave which you can walk in to, just don't get cut off by the tide. Parts of the coastal path look like they won't be there much longer as there are signs of imminent collapse. This is a MUST DO walk when you're in Cornwall, but try to pick a nice day or you won't see much but mist. If the weather is nice it's also worth a walk along the beach at Sennen Cove as this is beautiful sand and there is lots to explore at the far end. 10/10. Well done!

Walked this on 6.3.07. Stunning cliff top path with gale force winds to add to the drama. We were the only people at Lands End which must be rare. Can't believe they take the famous sign post away when the photographer isn,t there!
