From Felton we walk along to pick up the farm lane to Mauldshaugh. Here we drop down onto the banks of the River Coquet to follow the path through some lovely woodland alive with wildlife, then across pastureland to Brainshaugh. After a short section along the road, we cross pasture into the lovely wooded Acton Dean, with sparkling stream along the bottom. Rising, we continue over fields to Acton House, where we walk through more wooded lonnens well-populated with pheasants to reach Acton Hall. From here we gently descend through fields back to Felton.
