The walk goes first to a prominent feature at the back of the town, a hill crowned by a watchtower dating from the 17th Century. Abergele sits between two hills, one of them Tower Hill, with Moelfre Isaf at the back. Views from Moelfre Isaf are thus unimpeded and you will be on a viewpoint with few rivals. On a day with moderate visibility we had glimpses, not only of nearby Snowdonia, but also of the Lancashire coast, the Pennines and even the Lake District, but you can do better than this on a clear day.

A disappointing start to the walk until reaching w/p 14. From then on everything changes. Views are worth the climb. We had a clear day and could see Moelfre Isaf on the other side of the valley. The climb to the trig point starting at w/p 17 is quite tough but not too far, there we had 360 degree views We got completly lost at w/p 29. Couldn't find metal gate. After a little improvisation we managed to navigate back onto the correct path. This is a walk that I will not do again due to the disagreeable start.
