This is a beautiful walk in mainly wooded heathland. There are beautiful rhododendrons in flower late spring to early summer. There is plenty of shade on hot days. The woodland is mixed. Many areas are broadleaved but others are pinewoods. The latter are harvested, so the trees are of varying heights. The walk passes the ancient church of Bow Brickhill. There is a long stretch through the Woburn Golf Course. See: http://golf.discoverwoburn.co.uk/

In 1974 the late 14th Duke of Bedford created the first golf course here. The duke's course opened in 1976, closely followed by the duchess' course in 1978. But the duke always suspected that the very best piece of land had not yet been used and for many years hoped to build a third course. The new Marquess course was officially opened in June 2000 and designed with modern championships in mind.
