This walk was originally compiled by Alan and Janet Love, sadly both are no longer with us. Alison Gilbert has kindly offered to take them over. Alison and Walkingworld would like all these excellent walks to remain as a continuing tribute to Alan and Janet.

A delightful walk in the Kent countryside amongst undulating meadows, woods, streams and the River Medway, with captivating views from the higher ground encountered on one or two sections of the walk.

There are a couple of stretches of road- or lane-walking, but they are so quiet and free from traffic as to make them a very enjoyable part of the walk. In the main this is a fairly easy walk with the exception of the climb at Waymark 33, the longest and steepest climb on the walk but the views are well worth the effort.

Lovely walk, great day out and the lunch in the pub was superb. Some of the stiles have been changed but found our way round no trouble at all. Quite dog friendly - just read ahead a little so you know when a road is coming up. Thanks for a great walk.

Done this walk today. Have to say I really enjoyed this walk. The instructions were perfect too. Highly recommended. Just a few pointers: Some of the stiles were badly broken or replaced with gates, and the gate at waymark 16 was secured with barbed wire, you have to climb over.

Thanks for a great day out. The bluebells in the wood at point 39 were amazing yesterday too.
