This walk, near Torridon, is the most scenic low-level walk I have done in the last ten years. I used to favour the walk round Loch Affric, but this beats it. From a small roadside car park (often ignored by those passing on the A896) the route follows the east shore of Loch Clair before doing a circuit of Loch Coulin and returning. The paths are very good, with only one muddy section, at Loch Coulin. The valley containing the two lochs is dominated by the backdrop of Beinn Eighe and Liathach, two splendid mountains. As the relationship between them and the lochs keeps changing along the route there is the urge to take another photo every 100m... It's a stimulating walk; you'll talk about this and that part of the route for a long time when you get back to the car.

This is a most delightful family walk (dog too); it's almost level. Boots are recommended because of the muddy section.

Lovely walk with stunning views, even on a dull day when we walked it. Good paths except 1 slightly muddy area but it had been raining a lot!

I did walk 7280 today. Two things ; first, the Directions say, at 9 "it was a bit overgrown when we did this" . Its a lot overgrown now ! In fact impassable between 8 and 10, partly due to a fallen tree - not a big tree, but maybe 6 inch dia trunk. I managed to crawl underneath it, but still had to turn back. I ended up back tracking and walking around the edge of a field to reach waypoint 10. The alternative ( not good) is to stay on the road at 9 , walk northwest up to Grid ST98013, then turn East and walk back into Gussage St.Michael to reach waypoint 12. The other thing is that my satnav (SatMapAction 12) made the whole route 8.02 miles. It felt like that, I am a fast walker , and it took me 3 hrs 15 mins.

We did this walk 06/08/09 and it is as beautiful as described. Should mention we were a bit wary on approaching Coulin Lodge as notice on gate said "Beware of Dogs" but the pack that rushed up to greet us had their tails wagging and almost tripped us up in their eagerness to get a pat!
