A series of parallel undulating ridges run south-east from Crianlarich and include seven Munros. From the magnificent peaks of Ben More (1,174m) and Stob Binnein (1,165m) in the north-east, the ridges and peaks drop gradually in height to Beinn Chabhair (pronounced 'Ben Chavar'), the lowest of the seven peaks at 933 metres.

This is a walk of three distinct parts, on paths all the way. Part 1 is a steep 300-metre climb from Beinnglas Farm up a wooded hillside alongside a waterfall, to reach a high moorland valley. Part 2 is a relatively flat walk following the Ben Glas Burn, eventually gaining 200 metres as it rises past another waterfall to reach the beautiful Lochan Beinn Chabhair at the base of the ridge. Part 3 is a steep ascent to the ridge and a walk along the undulating rocky ridge to the summit. Although the smallest of the seven peaks, Beinn Chabhair provides superb panoramic views over the Trossachs peaks.
