Alderley Edge and Hare Hill

This is a walk through lovely countryside, linking two National Trust properties by concessionary paths. These are shown on the Explorer map but are not yet on the Landranger series. The walk begins in the woodland of Alderley Edge but then goes through extensive parkland with wide views and past a lake in the grounds of Hare Hill Estate. Given time, it is possible to include a visit to the gardens when they are open (see the NT website).

It was a pleasant walk. I agree that the written directions need updating but it was easy to find the way around using the map.
