A lovely short walk along the Fife Coast path from beautiful Aberdour with its castle, along the award winning beaches of Black Sands and Silver Sands, past the remains of cutting edge military science, and then along the coast with stunning views out across the Forth to Inchcolm Abbey, Edinburgh and the Pentlands, before a short walk through the ancient Burgh of Burntisland, still very much a working port.

The walk can be done without a car as it starts and finishes at a station, and it can be done wither as a short stand alone walk or added to other Fife Coast Path walks such as Walk 7271

Some on lead walking on the streets, and on Hawkcraig Point. Silver Sands has a voluntary no dogs policy during the summer. Black Sands is dog friendly though

At Waypoint 11 there is currently a minor detour as the Council repairs the Coast Path After the large walled mansion divert up grass bank and through the souless new development 'Waterside' turn right down the second turning called Seals Craig View (note that's the second turning with that name, not the second turning)
