Aberdour is probably the prettiest of the central Fife coastal towns lying on the coast between the bridges and Fife's administrative capital of Kirkcaldy. This short but fabulous walk starts out from the railway station, where there is also free parking, goes past the castle and then on down to the award-winning Silver Sands beach, visiting the site of a WW1 experimental base before climbing up to a headland with great views and dropping down to Aberdour's second beach at Blacksands.

With excellent eating options, a stunning castle with beautiful gardens and the sea never far away, this is a great place to walk.

I've added a short film which gives an idea of the views - https://youtu.be/0wlk7FPno9Y
