This walk passes through beautiful Cotswolds scenery. The first half mainly follows the banks of the River Coln, whilst the second half, by contrast, leads along higher ground, with extensive views of unspoilt, rolling countryside.

The walk starts and ends at the picturesque village of Bibury, with its ancient church, medieval cottages and old mill. There are a few cafes, a pub and two high end hotels in Bibury for refreshments. A pub and cafe are also to be found in Coln St. Aldwyns.

I have recently re-walked this route and updated it with new photographs, clarified directions etc. It is a lovely and popular walk, the route is easy to find/navigate and you will probably see others as you go on your way

Beautiful walk. There are some nice spots where we can just sit and relax too. At step 12, we could not locate the signpost with two fingers; either it is now removed or we may have missed. It took some time for us to get back to the trail. Other than that, easy to follow directions and enjoyable walk. Thank you.

We did this walk back in Autumn 2010 and it was one of the more interesting walks we've done (and challenging because of the climbs). The Autumn scenery was spectacular viewed from a hill or two. If you take dogs you may have to put them on leads for some of the way as sheep and cows are about. Easy directions and would like to do this one again sometime.

A super, easy to follow walk, starting in such a lovely place. Brilliant way to spend New Year's Day. We didn't get lost once, and loved it. Bertie the Fox Terrier xxx
