A diverse walk starting at a wonderful Warwickshire wood, in the Hartshill Hayes Country Park. Follow a wide, easy to follow path through the wood with a glimpse at the Warwickshire countryside for miles at one point. We see the remains of a castle, then follow the path around a disused quarry giving views of the local church and surrounds. Over the Coventry Canal and the pretty River Anker (twice), then it's along the local railway line to the canal again and along the Quarryman's Way. There are more fantastic views before returning via the local village, with public houses and store, to the woods and car park.

Walked today, 2/1/21 in reverse to mix it up. Amazed out how different it looks. Thanks to an overnight frost, paths that would be pretty muddy were actually firm underfoot. Really enjoyed the variety
