The Forest Way is an old railway track now used for walking and biking. Here's a pleasing circular route utilising the roughly parallel Wealden Way with a quick return along the track. There are a few stiles. It starts at the pleasant village of Hartfield. You pass Withyham and turn just before Groombridge, though it's easy to visit the latter by going the extra mile. There are plenty of pubs, selling food.

Walked 27.06.2021. This is a really nice relaxing walk, ideal for families to pass a couple of hours. Some of the sections are a tiny bit overgrown but passable. Directions are spot on. There are some lovely meadow views and it is really quite a nice walk. The return along the old railway section is quite a slog but it adds to the charm to see this virtually straight old railway. You can see the old platforms in places. Charming walk and well written!
