This stroll is an interesting way to catch a taste of Bournemouth when you arrive by train or coach from the station or bus hub to Bournemouth Square. The walk passes the Dorset County Council Dean Park Cricket Ground and goes through Horseshoe Common. The walk proceeds down a pedestrianized shopping street, through an arcade and past an art display and aviary to Bournemouth Pier. You then walk up through the Lower Gardens to Bournemouth Town Centre and Bournemouth Square.
