This is an attractive short walk to a 15th Century chapel that was left to decay after a new one was built in a nearby village. Consequently it escaped modernization by the Victorians and retains features that are not seen in many of our churches, including 15th Century wall paintings and the musicians' loft used before the introduction of organs. After a walk through the town to the A5 bridge over the River Dee a permitted path goes through a beautiful landscaped private garden with peacocks. An old railway track then leads to the church before the return is made by the same route. This is one of four walks from Corwen that are linked at the A5 bridge over the Dee and so can be joined to make a total of almost ten miles. Alternatively, you can pick and mix, which I think is preferable, as two of the walks are visits to ancient churches that need some time to visit properly.
