From Warren Hill the route descends gently into the folds of the chalk downland with good views across to the coast at Birling Gap and Belle Tout. It then heads north alongside an old flint wall to the village green in picturesque East Dean. Next a climb up to Friston Church to enter Friston Forest, now the largest area of established woodland in the South-East. Emerge from the trees to descend to the old village of Jevington and perhaps lunch at The Eight Bells pub. The final section follows the South Downs Way Long-Distance Path and offers huge views over Bexhill, Hastings and even as far as Dungeness Point on a very clear day.
