About half the walk is along the coast, with great views over the sea. Leaving the coast leads across the fields, giving a different set of views to seaward.

One of the most interesting parts of the walk is coming round the headland and seeing the strange church on its own island. It is St Cwyfan's Church, probably dating back to 1254. It is not usually open except by arrangement, but it is worth walking to its island and looking around. Be careful of the tide, though.

In Aberffraw Village is the Heritage Centre with the tea room which also serves meals. There is also a local shop if you need it.

This is a great walk to get the feel of the wonderful Welsh coastal path. Was here on an especially mild October day and met several friendly locals & fellow visiting walkers. Thank you Richard for another great route.
