This is a very open walk with ever-changing views as it meanders across moorland, passing several lochs. In the more sheltered areas there is an abundance of bog myrtle... they say that a really effective midge repellent would have bog myrtle as its basic ingredient... but you should still have your current favourite brand if here July-Sept! This is a good family walk to have a day at a quiet, secluded beach. No special footwear is needed.

Note that there might be a problem if you have a dog... A notice at w/m 2 tells that there are Highland cattle at the far end of the walk, so if your dog is liable to upset them better give the walk a miss.

Lovely walk with a beautiful beach which appears over the hill. Very clear waymarkers with lochs and views on the walk out and back.

September-attempted this walk. Big sign on gate telling us that Highland cattle in fields - we could see them - and that we should not walk through herd with dog. Also sign suggested that we should drop lead if herd approached. Knowing that our dog would run back to us so bringing herd along behind gave it a miss! Also sign warns you that live stock there from April-October can be aggressive as have young. Think dog walkers might think twice!
