This great walk starts off by following a nice long section of the River Bure, which offers the walker lovely views over the river and marshes. There is a diverse array of wildlife to see, including otters along this stretch of river, so do keep an eye out! (I saw one swimming down the main river just near the start of the walk). Further along, the village of Stokesby is seen from an unusual perspective but is beautiful none the less, but unfortunately no access is possible without a boat. The next stretch follows Tunstall Dyke over the A47 and then turns towards Damgate Lane. Nearly all of this stretch is along public footpaths, which allows for a thorough and quiet exploration of this area of Broadland. Again, more wildlife can be seen along here, like muntjac deer and some birds of prey.
