Ardrossan - Seamill - West Kilbride - Portencross

From Ardrossan the walk starts in the town, but quickly reaches the coast road round the front with views to Horse Island and Ardrossan harbour. On reaching the tarmac track the path skirts Boydston Shore before reaching Seamill. At this point the route descends to the beach in front of Seamill Hydro. Following this there is a choice of continuing along the beach to Farland Head, or using the track in front of West Kilbride golf course. The final stretch may be rather muddy as it crosses a field before reaching the car park at Portencross.
