A short route along the edge of the mountains around Arisaig and Loch Morar. The route partly follows the railway line from Fort William to Mallaig - and crosses it at one point - a chance to see the Hogwarts Express! There is a gentle climb at the end towards Scamadale and views out to Loch Morar. The middle section goes through birch and pine woodland on a typical forest track with views of the mountain crags of Sgurr an t-Sasunnaich high above the trees.

This area (particularly the hilly area to the south of the railway line) was used for Day 5 of the International Scottish 6-Day Festival of Orienteering in August 2001. Over 3500 orienteers took part in the event.
