Starting at the westernmost edge of Armação de Pêra and heading a little way inland, this circular walk is perfect for those who long to escape the vibrant, but sometimes overcrowded, beach resorts for a few hours.
Despite staying within close proximity of the coastline with frequent ocean views, you'll enjoy the perfect peace of countryside walking as you follow historic stone-walled lanes and meander across sandy footpaths through unfenced dry orchards.
Whether you're following little-used tracks or wandering along quiet roads, the Algarvian landscape never fails to delight.
On clear days, there are fantastic views of the Serra de Monchique, home to the Algarve's highest peaks, Foia and Picota. But don't let the apparent proximity of these summits fool you … there are plenty of rolling foothills inbetween.
