City centre, seaside and shipping just about sums up this easy walk. You'll never doubt that over 95% of Britain's trade comes and goes by sea if you've ever seen such a crowded mass of container ships on just one day in just one port. This walk embraces the harbour area, city centre and beach or esplanade of Aberdeen.

The Scots have ways of confounding both enemies and inoffensive visitors. One way is by omitting street-names, or only naming them at one end – and that invariably the far end to the direction in which one is travelling! Aberdeen is a very good example of this practice. See how many instances of missing street-names you can find on this walk, or if you want a shorter list, just record those not missing!

Information for Wheelchair Users: the route is almost all level, though there are many roads to be crossed in the city centre section.

Information for Dog Owners: the walk is considered suitable for dogs on a leash.

I'm afraid I found this walk rather dull and would recommend id=750 instead which offers greater variety. However if you follow it I suggest you finish up at the Maritime Museum just off Castlegate Square. It's free, fascinating and has a pleasant café.
