This is an easy point-to-point walk from Arundel Station to Amberley Station. There is something very calming about walking by water and for most of this walk that is what you do. With only kissing-gates and stiles to contend with along the whole of this walk, plus a small hill, it will not make you that out-of-breath.

There are also things to see at each end of the walk. You could spend the morning first at Arundel Castle, or at the Amberley Museum if you decide to do the walk in reverse. You can stop by the Black Rabbit pub, not only to have some refreshments but you might also like to feed the swans on the river there as well. This walk has some spectacular views across the flat plains by the river and of the rolling hills around South Stoke Farm.

An enjoyable easy walk, The Bridge Inn at Amberley comes highly recommended! Walk done 11/06/07

I would suggest doing this walk when the weather has been dry for a while. I had to abandon the walk before reaching the 'Black Rabbit' pub as the path was so slippery due to the muddy surface. Even with good treads it was like walking on ice. On the first part there is not a lot to see other than the omni-present castle. Walk done 12/01/06
