This walk starts on Largs seafront with views to the Cumbrae and continues round the headland at Aubery Park before leaving the shoreline to walk on a narrow, quiet road with passing places, high above the coast. From here there are wonderful views to Arran and Kintyre.

The route continues through the picturesque village of Meigle down to sea level before once more climbing with further views, this time to the north over Bute, Cowal and the mountains to the north.

This walk is entirely on pavement or quiet sideroad, but there are several long climbs uphill. This is a linear walk; there is a good bus service to take you back to Largs.

In Largs for a few days and the weather was lovely - cold, frosty and brilliant sunshine. What a lovely walk - over the top but with views of the sea and mountains.
